January Fresh Start

Its a new year and a fresh start, so I'm making it a goal to blog better! Moving really takes time! Not to mention having a "fixer upper" (hoping to blog about my "before and afters" soon, but my wonderful husband took some of the last before pictures, and behold, my camera has turned up missing AGAIN!) and then the holidays! :)
VERY soon after I moved in I had BUNKO at my house so I unpacked as much as possible (other stuff got stuffed into the garage) and my wonderful designer mom came over with a box of stuff from her house and helped me make my house wonderful, warm, and homey! :) We had a Blast and even tho we still had mattress on the floors in some rooms I was happy to get to show off my dream home :D
Thankfully Thanksgiving was at my sisters house this year! Our beautiful stove was not working (who knew that natural gas and propane stoves don't work the same and you should buy the right one to begin with? Obviously not us! :)) Figuring out so many meals with just a crock pot, rice cooker and electric griddle isn't fun, but I made it thru November!
December is always a fun month and once again my wonderful mother (Check out her facebook page! https://www.facebook.com/?ref=tn_tnmn#!/pages/Timeless-Interiors/116212161785773) helped me put up my decorations to make everything feel in its place and cozy! We were able to put together our game room with some fun things for the kids to play just in time for Makenna's 6th birthday. Our family Christmas Eve party was at my house and we had fun with 13 adults and 15 kids running around all night. It was a BLAST as it usualy is with my family! And finally at the end of the month we got our theater room working (which I guess was my birthday present this year). What a blast it has been to have that room!! :)
So now here we are in the middle of January! I'm mostly settled and calmed down from the holidays and I even cleaned out one of my garages completely and have two cars parked inside! YAY! Its been YEARS since I have been able to have my car in the garage! I know it has to do with the fact that I have more than one garage and that the previous owner had built in cabinets all labeled neatly to I had somewhere to put all my stuff but it sure feels good!!

Camera where art thou

So we had a fun day of picking out pumpkins and carving them with Uncle Jared while he was here but I haven't been able to blog about it because I can not find my camera now! Someday my life will be in order again and I will have a super cool blog (my dream :))
Hopefully I'll be able to blog about it with pictures soon

Halloween is almost here

I really love Halloween and decorating for it but since I'm not decorating my house this year (just not cute to decorate packing boxes) I decided to decorate my girls instead. :) I saw these really cute tulle skirts on another blog (sorry I can't remember which one, it was months ago and I just had it stored in my head) So as I was making my girls costumes for this year a friend of mine and I came up with the cutest skirts for our girls to wear to school (or play) in fun Halloween colors. I topped them off with $5 Wal-mart Halloween shirts and.... ta-da CUTE GIRLS!
P.S. this post is colored in the same pattern as the skirts.

And I'm off!

I decided to join the rest of the whole world and create a blog. I know, I know, I know.....What the heck has taken me so long? Well at first I just didn't know what I would blog about...I mean my life isn't that interesting....But even after I realized that I do have some interesting stories about my life and my kids and what I love to do, I was scared to put it in words. Writing and spelling and anything to do with story telling on paper has never been a strong suite of mine, so although my grammar and my spelling my be off at times I figured my friends and family can get past that and I would love to share my world with them. I LOVE the feeling I get when I create something and it turns out beautiful, or when I make something for someone and I see on their face how much they enjoy it, so I will share that world with you also, hence the name "craft my life".
